Good Morning and happy Monday! Today is my first official blog post! I want to start by introducing myself.
I'm 36 years old and live in Brandon with my two daughters, Collins (13) and Mattie (9). I was an Elementary Ed. teacher for 12 years, with a Master's in Leadership Administration. In May of 2025 I decided to quit teaching and persue my career in Real Estate full time.
I'd been a part time Realtor for the last 3 years, and found myself earning more in the summer months, when I had more time to dedicate towards it. I also wasn't earning enough with a teacher's salary to be able to provide for my girls like I wanted. So... I said a prayer before Christmas in 24, that if this was the path God wanted me to take, to give me a full peace about it before February. This is about the time my school starts giving out letters of intent, in order to know which teachers plan to stay/leave. God gave me a clear answer immediately. Though, I waited and waited, to ensure it was his will and not mine, before I verbalized my decision to anyone. Once I did, everyone was shocked that I would leave fixed income, to try something that was as financially unpredictable as Real Estate. My peace never waivered, and I even asked God if this feeling was peace or stupidity. He continued to tell me to keep going and DO IT!
So, here I am, continuing to take the risk daily. With support of so many close friends (who are like family to me) I've built a "Burn the Ships" mindset. (If you've never heard of that, look it up. There's a book about it too!)
I'm currently focusing on building consistent daily habits that will lead to a profitable business for my future. I already know that I serve my clients with unmatchable hospitality and work ethic. Now I'd like to work on building my pipeline of clients to serve.
Leaving you with a quote I heard that I think originated from the Atomic Habits book. "Most daily actions evaportate, some accumulate." (accumulate into results) :)
